At Brain Builders Academy, our Early Elementary Program for ages 5-9 is designed for curious, high-potential learners who thrive in small, accelerated, and hands-on environments. Our academically advanced curriculum is rooted in neuroscience and aligns with both NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards) and ILCCS (Illinois Common Core Standards), ensuring students exceed traditional benchmarks in reading, writing, math, and science. Our students average 2 grade levels ahead of their peers.
Students applying to our Kindergarten program should be able to read phonetically.

- Accelerated Math: We use logic puzzles, board games, and daily tutoring to teach abstract math concepts in a concrete, joyful way.
- STEAM-Focused Science Curriculum: Students explore biology, chemistry, physics, astronomy, and geology through projects and experiments.
- Engineering & Technology Labs: From building cardboard prototypes to screen-free coding and robotics, students learn how the world works—and how to build in it.
- Piano: Students receive bi-weekly private piano lessons and participate in seasonal concerts.
- Mandarin & Spanish: Our students receive biweekly Mandarin & Spanish lessons

Dramatic play and hands-on exploration are integral to the curriculum, exemplified by a lesson on animal adaptations where students built bird nests and used tools to simulate bird beaks.
