Friends & Family Events
Friends & Family events are open to all friends and family members of students enrolled in Brain Builders Academy.
For our January event, we are trying to coordinate a small group beginner ski lesson. We are still waiting to hear back. If they are able to accommodate us, we will need a confirmed head count a week before the event date. The event will take place at Villa Olivia 1401 W Lake St., Bartlett, IL.

Field Studies
Our January field trip to the Museum of Science & Industry to experience the Extreme Ice exhibit is intentionally scheduled at the beginning of our Arctic habitat trimester to build foundational understanding. Because most young children have little to no direct experience with Arctic environments, this visit provides concrete, sensory exposure to snow, ice, glaciers, and extreme cold before we begin deeper classroom study. The exhibit will help students form accurate mental models of what the Arctic looks and feels like, allowing future lessons on animal adaptations, ecosystems, weather, and survival in cold climates to be grounded in real-world experience rather than abstraction.
Please reach out to the PTA if you are able to chaperone or carpool. All permission slips must be turned in the day before. If your child has severe allergic reactions, please make sure to pack medication in a zipped travel bag and reach out to admin to coordinate.
