Brain Builders Academy is Chicago’s premier immersive STEAM school, built on a proprietary neuroscience-based curriculum that aligns with the brain’s critical developmental windows. Bilingual Mandarin & Piano
Our PreK classes are led by bilingual Mandarin-English teachers, allowing children to hear and use both languages naturally throughout the school day. In addition to daily language exposure, every student participates in formal Mandarin lessons twice each week, building vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversational skills through engaging, age-appropriate activities.
All PreK students also receive piano lessons twice a week as part of our core curriculum. Early childhood is the ideal time to develop both language and musical abilities, and incorporating Mandarin and piano into our program supports memory, pattern recognition, executive functioning, and overall cognitive development.

Our flagship West Loop campus currently serves children ages 3–9 in early elementary (PreK through 6th grade), with plans to expand into upper elementary in the coming years. Classes are intentionally small—capped at just five students per teacher—allowing for one-on-one instruction in math, reading, and piano. This personalized environment fosters confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.
